Message from McIlveen Family Law Firm CEO
We are facing unprecedented times as the global coronavirus pandemic continues its assault on our lives, our businesses, and our way of life. During this time, I wanted to update you on what we are doing at McIlveen Family Law Firm. I also wanted to provide a list of resources for you.
First, our thoughts and prayers go out to all of those that have been impacted by this virus. Our thoughts are especially with those families who have lost a loved one in this war. We hope that you find comfort whether it be through religion, family, or community. Our hearts also go out to those that are sick. We wish you a speedy and full recovery.
Second, since the start of the pandemic we have had two goals: 1) first and foremost, we are focused on keeping our employees and clients healthy and safe, and 2) we are committed to keeping the firm open to serve our clients and our communities.
The majority of our employees are back in the office and fully vaccinated. Occasionally, an employee needs to work from home. Fortunately, our case files are already scanned and uploaded into a secure, online document management system, our phone systems operate regardless of whether we are physically in the office, and employees are all assigned equipment that easily moves from office to home. Because these systems were already in place, our shift from working in the office to working at home has been relatively smooth.
Third, even as we are navigating a constantly changing court system, we remain committed to serving our clients. McIlveen was founded on core values – honesty, compassion, enthusiasm, respect, and being a forever learner. Even in the midst of a global pandemic, those values guide our every action. We will continue to update you throughout this crisis and we will continue to advocate for you. Regardless of whether the courts are open, we are preparing cases, negotiating with opposing counsel, and in some cases even mediating cases using video conferencing technology.
We are also focused on continuing to serve our community. Our efforts to assist those in need include donating hand sanitizers and over 150 face masks sewn by my mom to domestic violence shelters and those that work with traumatized children.
We have an amazing team at McIlveen that is here for you. We are still open, working, and accepting new clients. We continue to encourage clients to call their attorneys and legal secretaries on their direct line, upload documents to our secure portal, and keep us updated about any changes in your life that may impact your case.
While we cannot control the events that are transpiring around us, we can control how we respond. It is my hope that when we look back on these days, our clients and our employees will say that we made things a little better. As we go forward, we will continue to update you about what McIlveen is doing and provide you with resources related to COVID-19.
Sincerely,
Angela McIlveen,
CEO, McIlveen Family Law Firm
